What is the spark that powers Evolution?
by N.drew ini have no idea, that is why i'm asking.
i did mention on another thread that need might be involed, but they said no.
so what powers evolution?
-
Jack C.
Evolution is synonymous with life. Life is synonymous with conciousness. Evolution is synonymous with conciousness. Evolution doesn't exist without conciousness. Conciousness is the driving force behind the evolution of life and conciousness is universal.
Feel free to disagree it's just my opinion.

Oreilly and Dawkins - Both idiots on opposite sides of the fence. Deepacs concepts can be somewhat deep and hard to fully understand but they are digestable.

For the board atheists....
by Jack C. inthis is a personal observation and certainly not representative of all atheists.
i enjoy discussions with folks of this persuasion; in general they appear well read and somewhat more educated than many believers.
as a group most atheists cringe and become insensed when discussing the existence of a deity with believers especially fundamentalists.

EntirelyPossible : Time dialation is the effect that gravity or speed has on the rate of time experienced by a person or object. The greater the effect of gravitation or the greater the speed that an object or person experiences slows down the rate of time experienced by said object or person and speeds up the rate of time for remote objects or persons observed by said object or person. If you leave the planet in a space ship in 2010 and travel near the speed of light for a week and return to earth, time on the earth will have passed at a rate such that it will be near the date 2900. Eveything you knew will have changed or disappeared and everyone you know will be dead. You will have traveled nearly 900+- years into the future. You can call it what you like if it makes you feel better but it's still time travel. Like you said everyone passes through time but when you travel through time at a different rate than eveyone else you have traveled through time. Traveling in a car at different speeds (or a different rate) still equals traveling in a car. Traveling through a tunnel at different rates or speed still equals traveling through a tunnel does it not? To travel through time means you must travel through time at a rate that is different from another given time. Perhaps you are stuck on semantics. It (the effect of time travel) has been proven as I said in my original statement.

EntirelyPossible: Time dialation = Time travel. You said it wasn't. Hers a paragraph from the same Wiki article you copied and pasted but apparently failed to read.
"Time dialation would make it possible for passengers in a fast moving vehicle to travel further into the future while aging very little, in that their great speed slows down the rate of passage of onboard time. That is, the ships clock (and according to relativity, any human traveling with it) shows less elapsed time than the clocks of observers on earth. For suffeiciently high speeds the effect is dramatic. For example, one year of travel might correspond to ten years at home. Indeed, a constant 1 g acceleration would permit humans to travel through the entire known Universe in one human lifetime. (14) The space travelers could return to Earth billions of years in the future. A scenario based on this idea was presented in the novel Planet of the Apes by Pierre Boulle."
Like I said, do your homework.

after 14 years out i think ive finally found "the truth" reincarnation !
by looloo ini have read many books on reincarnation recently and no longer fear death , or the death of loved ones anymore , there are so many childrens stories of past lifes , children who have no knowledge of reincarnation etc that have come out with things like "mummy you were not my mummy last time i lived were you ?
" a 3 year old child coming out with such a thing is amazing and the reason i started looking into it was because my own 7 year old casually told me that" we have all been here before mummy but we just forget " i asked who told her that and she replied "nobody told me mummy i just know " it all makes sense now and is much more fair than jws "truth " any one else here looked into reincarnation ?.

Seems to me that the JW doctrine actually supports this idea. You are resurrected in a recreated body that wasn't yours originally. Sounds like reincarnation to me.

How would you spend your time?
by Jack C. inlet's say it was revealed via the media and scientific community that a planet wide catastrophe such as a large comet or asteroid impact or even a brush with a large planetary body or black hole was emminant and that it was certain to devistate the planet in say 18 months.
how would you spend the remaining time?
if the event was considered possibly survivable by maybe a few million what action, if any would you take?

What do you think the reaction of the witnesses would be, as if I didn't know?
